Glenn P. Johnson, CPA, MST

Glenn founded Johnson & Company in 2006 bringing together expertise across a broad array of accounting disciplines to help clients tackle today’s financial challenges. As a tax accounting practitioner with 22 years of experience, he specializes in servicing individuals, estates, trusts and business entities, including start-ups.

Earning his CPA license in 1998, Glenn started his career with Dargis and Busby, CPAs in Biddeford and for many years held an equity position with Cross Professional Associates in South Portland. Glenn is dedicated to continuing professional development and holds his series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern Maine and a Masters of Science in Taxation from Bentley College in Massachusetts and today is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Living in Scarborough, Glenn is active in the community as a board member of Peregrine Corp. and a member of the Portland Kiwanis Club. As an avid traveler, Glenn enjoys boating, scuba diving and cooking.

Richard J. Busby, CPA

Richard has been in the accounting field for nearly 35 years, earning his CPA license in 1975. He has been with Johnson & Company since 2007. Previously the President and a principal of Dargis & Busby, PA, Certified Public Accountants, Richard specializes in tax accounting, financial planning and general business consulting for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. In addition, he managed the firm’s quality control programs and participated in the New England Peer Review program. Richard earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Thomas College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts and the Maine Society of CPAs. In addition he is an advocate of continuing education earning over 40 hours per year in professional education hours.

Nancy C. Flynn, Senior Accountant

Nancy joined Johnson & Company in 2007, together with long-time colleague Richard Busby. She spent that past twenty-three years as a tax accounting practitioner specializing in the preparation of financial statements and small business consulting for individuals and business entities. Nancy holds both a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Boston College and a Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Southern Maine. A longtime resident of Maine, Nancy lives on Peaks Island with her husband.

Mary C. Registe, Staff Accountant

Mary joined Johnson & Company in 2006 as a staff accountant specializing in individual returns and is an expert in the effective use of QuickBooks software applications. She started her career providing bookkeeping and accounting support for an area real estate agency. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Westbrook College. She enjoys living in Falmouth with her husband and raising her four children.

Robert Johnson, Staff Accountant

Robert is an accounting associate, working with Johnson & Company since its opening. He provides tax preparation service; and also an expert in QuickBooks, he provides clients with payroll and general bookkeeping support. Robert started his career in 2004 at Cross Professional Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from St. Joseph’s College. Living in Gorham, Robert has a passion for the guitar and is an avid sports fan, rooting for our New England teams.
